Degradative state
A self-portrait series created over a period of 6 hours without sleep for 36 hours prior. Exposed to intense psychological strain, lying restrained in Chinese water torture in complete darkness and silence. What you see in the situation was only a white flash every ten minutes, followed by darkness and the sound of dripping water.
The series depicts an unnecessary pressure on oneself. A pressure that is difficult to escape and, at the same time, very difficult to fulfill; resulting in self-doubt and questioning of one's own abilities.
